I love polka dots. I have always loved polka dots. Specifically black and white ones. They’re the perfect pattern for a left- and right-brained individual. I love the precision of the dot, the order of the pattern, and the joy of the result. They’re akin to my design aesthetic with an emphasis on minimalism, purpose, strength and clarity — and a touch of levity. But more interestingly, polka dots speak to my love for design strategy and my leadership style. I am organized, I like processes, I am chronically on time. But I’m not too serious either. Using design-thinking methodology and working on multidisciplinary teams, I’ve found my sweet spot at the intersection of business and beauty — design with purpose. Leading various branding and visual identity projects I’m able to help create synergy and cohesion for my clients … putting my dots in a row, if you will.
